Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams are the top seeds in the men's and women's singles respectively for the US Open 2015, which gets under way at Flushing Meadows from Monday.
Swiss star Roger Federer and Britain's Andy Murray are seeded second and third respectively in the men's singles, while 25-year-old Kei Nishkori of Japan, who was the finalist last year, finds himself seeded fourth.
Defending men's US Open champion Marin Cilic of Croatia is seeded ninth.
In the women's singles, Serena, who is looking to bag a record seventh US Open title, is the top seed, ahead of Simona Halep and Maria Sharapova, who are seeded second and third for the final Grand Slam of this year.
The 33-year-old Serena is also targeting at completing a career-year Grand Slam after winning the first three majors of 2015. The American has already bossed the Australian Open, the French Open, and the Wimbledon this year.
Her sister, and two-time US Open winner, Venus Williams is seeded 23rd in the competition this year.
"King of clay" Rafael Nadal finds himself in the eighth position in the seedings released for the US Open 2015. The Spaniard, who has won the prestigious title at Flushing Meadows on two occasions previously, could meet the likes of Djokovic, Murray and Federer in the quarterfinals.
Murray comes into the tournament after defeating Djokovic in the final of the Montreal Masters earlier this month. He was later defeated by the 34-year-old veteran Federer in the semifinal of the Cincinnati Masters, before the Swiss ace took out Djokovic in the final.
French Open 2015 men's singles champion Stanislas Wawrinka is seeded fifth in the competition, while Tomas Berdych and David Ferrer occupy the sixth and seventh positions respectively in the men's singles category.
In the women's singles, Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki - also last year's finalist - is seeded fourth, ahead of Czech duo Petra Kvitova and Lucie Safarova. Defending champion Serena could either face Sharapova or Wozniacki in the semifinal depending on the half of the draw they are in.
And a probable clash between the women's World no 1 and the 23-year-old Romanian Halep will not take place until the final of the US Open 2015.
Lleyton Hewitt, who was the US Open Champion in 2001, is unseeded in the Grand Slam. He will be playing at the Flushing Meadows for the final time.
