At least one person has been killed and four others injured in a multiple shooting incident in the Hamilton Heights neighbourhood in Manhattan, New York.
An unidentified gunman opened fire at around 11:15 p.m. (local time) on Sunday, on Broadway and West 136th Street.
One of the victims died on the spot, a fire department official told New York Daily News.
Witnessess reported hearing multiple gunshots.
"I knew they were gunshots and when I looked outside I saw about 15 people running down the street. I locked up the store," a man who works at a deli said.
The incident comes just days after a shooting episode at a crowded Home Depot store in Manhattan claimed two lives.
