Aamir Khan's alleged negligence towards his next film "Secret Superstar" has made music director AR Rahman and lyricist Prasoon Joshi upset, and they have reportedly walked out of the project. Directed by Aamir's former manager Advait Chandan, the film will star the "Dangal" actor in the role of a music composer.
Rahman and Prasoon have reportedly been working on the film's soundtrack for a year, but Aamir failed to dedicate enough time to the project due to his busy schedule of "Dangal." According to a web portal, music composer Amit Trivedi and lyricist Kausar Munir have now replaced Rahman and Prasoon in the film.
"Prasoon and Rahman sir had been doing their bit in terms of music sessions, but the film just wasn't moving forward. No one wants to invest time but not see results, right? Aamir wanted to be thoroughly involved but Dangal hasn't left him with time to do anything else. So, eventually, Rahman sir decided to quit. Ditto Prasoon," SpotboyE quoted a source as saying.
In "Secret Superstar," Aamir will not be playing the lead role, but won't appear in a cameo as well. The story will be about a child and a mother, and reportedly the cast for these two roles have not been finalised yet. The film is expected to go on floors in June. Previously titled as "Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai," "Secret Superstar" will likely be a musical flick.
Meanwhile, Aamir, who didn't have a single release last year, will be seen in "Dangal" at the end of 2016. He will play the character of real-life wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in it. The actor had to undergo extreme physical transformation for "Dangal." He had to first gain 25 kg and then again had to shed the same amount of weight to suit the character.
