OnePlus 3 is one of the best flagship smartphones of 2016 and its affordable pricing makes it worthy enough for anyone to upgrade without denting a big hole in the pocket. OnePlus is constantly introducing new features to make user experience on the OnePlus 3 better and here's another update for its users.
OnePlus released Android Marshmallow-based OxygenOS 3.5.5 Open Beta 6 software for OnePlus 3 users, bringing on board series of new features and improvements based on user feedback from version 3.5.4.
OnePlus 3 users running the previous build of beta software will receive the new update over-the-air (OTA). It is as simple as tapping on the notification for upgrade and granting permission to download and install the latest software. Users can also check for the latest build by going into the settings of the phone, then About Phone and Software updates.
Alternatively, users can get the latest open beta software from the company's download page. But it is important to back up the data on the device before flashing the new firmware to avoid losing important stuff.
Since the latest software is a beta, one must be prepared to witness some inconsistencies due to bugs. Beta releases are used by the company to test the software with limited and willing users ahead of a public rollout.
