American two-wheeler manufacturer UM Motorcycles is making steady progress for the market launch of the Renegade Classic in India. According to a report of Deccan Herald, the Renegade Classic will hit the Indian roads in September, after the launch of the Renegade cruiser range, which includes Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S.
The motorcycle Renegade Classic made its India entry at the Auto Expo 2016 in February, an event that also marked the beginning of the journey of UM Motorcycles in the country. It has been priced at Rs.1.69 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Powered by a 280cc single-cylinder water cooled engine that can develop 25bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 21.8Nm of torque at 7,000rpm, teamed with six-speed transmission, the Renegade Classic measures 1975mm in length, 1280mm in height and 730mm in width.
UM Motorcycles is expected to start the delivery of the Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S in India by June. The company has already started accepting bookings for the Renegade range and has garnered over 1,000 bookings within two months. UM Motorcycles will sell the new Renegade motorcycle through its 25 dealerships centres across the country. The Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sport S have been priced at Rs. 1.59 lakh and Rs. 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), respectively.
