American two-wheeler manufacturer UM Motorcycles is on an expansion mode in India.The company has widened its reach in the country with the opening of its 10th dealership centre, located at Sarjapur Road in Bengaluru.
The 10th dealership of UM, called Bengaluru UM, is spread over approximately 2,400 sq ft. The centre has a showroom integrated with an after-sales service facility, and will showcase the Renegade Commando and Renegade Sports S.
"UM Motorcycles is focused on delivering a 'pure motorcycling' experience to customers. Our partnership with Bengaluru UM is significant and reflects UM Motorcycles efforts to connect with its consumers and provide high-quality services," Rajeev Mishra, director, UML, said.
UM Motorcycles began its journey in India with Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S at the Auto Expo 2016. Both the motorcycles come powered by a 280cc single-cylinder water-cooled engine that develops 25bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 21.8Nm of torque at 7,000rpm, mated to six-speed transmission.
The Renegade Commando has been priced at Rs 1.59 lakh while Renegade Sport S costs Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). UM is expected to bring the Renegade Classic in India in March. The third motorcycle of UM will be priced at Rs 1.69 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
