American motorcycle maker UM Motorcycles inaugurated its third dealership in India on Thursday, July 15 at Gurgaon in the National Capital Region. Located at Sohna Road, near Vatika Chowk in Badshahpur-Gurugram, the new dealership of UM India is called Bhagwati Motors.
The showroom, spread over an area of 3,200 sq ft., also has an after-sales service facility. The new showroom will display the entire range of UM Motorcycles India.
"This is an important milestone for us in our extensive dealership network rollout programme which is currently underway at UM Motorcycles, India. Gurugram has firmly established itself as the business and commercial centre of Delhi's National Capital Region (NCR) and offers potent opportunities for premium bike makers like us," said Rajeev Mishra, Director at UML. "The new UM Motorcycle dealership will provide the prospective customers of UM Motorcycles a venue to know our products up close and personal. We also take pride in offering the Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S today for test drive," he added.
UM, which made its India debut at the Auto Expo 2016, currently has two cruiser bike models — Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sport S — in its India portfolio. UM Renegade Commando has been priced at Rs. 1.59 lakh, while the Sport S comes with a price tag of Rs. 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Both the motorcycles draw power from a 280cc single-cylinder water-cooled engine that can develop 25bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 21.8Nm of torque at 7,000rpm, mated to six-speed transmission. Both the motorcycles come with a ground clearance of 150 mm and fuel tank capacity of 18 litres. The Commando will come in three colours (black shine, green matt and grey matt), while the Sports S will be offered in black, orange and red.
