Pulimurugan has become the first Malayalam movie to enter the prestigious Rs 100 crore club, and it seems to be unstoppable in making records at the worldwide box office. The action thriller, helmed by Vysakh, has been performing well in the overseas market, especially at the UK box office.
PJ Entertainments, which has distributed the action thriller all over the Europe, has now said that the film crossed £200,000 mark at the UK box office. "It is with immense pleasure we announce that the Mohanlal-starrer Pulimurugan directed by Vysakh Director & produced by Tomichan Mulakuppadam has now crossed a magical £200k at the UK Box Office :-) Thank you to everyone for your support. We have been thrilled with the positive feedback from audiences and especially the children who have wholeheartedly loved & enjoyed the film," PJ Entertainments posted on Facebook.
A source close to the distribution house has confirmed to International Business Times India that Pulimurugan has raked in £200,810 till Monday from the screens in the UK.

The Vysakh-directorial has already become the top grosser in the UK, surpassing the lifetime collection of Mohanlal's crime thriller Oppam, Nivin Pauly's family entertainers Jacobinte Swargarajyam and Premam within three days. Pulimurugan had earned £13,800 on the opening day making a total of £90,162 (Rs 74 lakh) during its first weekend in the UK.

Pulimurugan, which also stars Jagapathi Babu, Lal, Kamalini Mukherjee, Bala and Vinu Mohan in significant roles, has been tagged as the popular entertainer of the year. The Mohanlal-starrer has been garnering tremendous response from the audience, for its remarkable technical aspects and graphic works. The The big budget action thriller, bankrolled by Tomichan Mulakupaadam, has also been performing well in the UAE and GCC markets.
