In what could be taken by UFO (unidentified flying object) enthusiasts as aliens watching over human beings affected by nature's fury, a white shiny disc-shaped object was reportedly caught hovering over the flood-affected region of Assam State in India by a photographer.
According to description of the incident provided by photographer Momina Wasim of Educated Unemployed Welfare Society (EUWS), an NGO, to The North East Today, a strange white shiny object was caught on a Canon EOS 70D camera.
The description said that the EUWS team went to Mothola Tea Estate near Maijan in Dibrugarh District of Assam, India, on 4 September to help and distribute relief materials to people affected by the floods. But the photographer of the team captured a strange object while taking pictures of the people.
"Being the photographer of the team, I was also very busy taking photos covering every detail of the event. The distribution job was coming to an end when I was clicking the people, that a white shiny object hovering in the area was captured in the camera," Wasim told The North East Today.
The photographer claimed that the flying object was spotted in one of the photos with the people only after returning from relief work.
"I am sharing the exposure settings of this particular photo.f/6.3, shutter speed 1/250, ISO 100, Focal length 18mm," said Wasim, adding that the object might be moving silently at a high speed, as it was not caught on mobile phones of people who were also taking pictures of the locals.
Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has said that over 40 people were killed and over 1.8 million (18 lakh) people affected by the floods, affecting Assam's 20 out of 27 districts.
