Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, widely regarded as one of the busiest fighters in the UFC, will be looking to get back to winning ways inside the octagon as he goes up against Robbie Lawler at UFC 213 in July during International Fight Week.
Since moving up to 170 pounds in 2016, Cerrone has enjoyed a lot of success having defeated the likes of Alex Oliveira, Patrick Cote, Rick Story and Matt Brown but that four fight win streak was put to an end by Jorge Masvidal earlier this year.

His opponent on the night at UFC 213, Lawler is also going to into fight looking to get back to winning ways. The former UFC welterweight champion last fought at UFC 201 where he was knocked out by Tyron Woodley and lost his welterweight title in the process. Prior to that loss, Lawler was on a five fight win streak which included two title defences against Carlos Condit and Rory MacDonald.
With both men going into this fight on the back of a loss, they will certainly give it their all at UFC 213 and Cerrone feels this fight already sells itself. While the winner of this fight will definitely move up a step in getting a shot at the title, Cerrone is more excited about the fact that he is going up against one of the best brawlers in the business.

"Robbie is old school, been around forever. And so have I. Somebody's going to lose. But I don't think Robbie looks at it like that; neither do I. I don't go in there like, '(Expletive) I have to win. My career.' ... I'm going to fight, to fight one of the best brawlers, going to stand up, (expletive) throw down, and put on a show," MMA Junkie quoted Cerrone as saying.
"This fight is for me. This is what I love. There's no place I'd rather be than in that mother(expletive). And then throwing down with one of the greatest? C'mon, I'm loving it – every minute of it."
Cerrone currently holds the record for the most post-fights bonuses which includes Fight/Performance of the Night, Knockout/Submissions of the Night and is really pumped as he feels this bout against Lawler has the makings of a 'Fight of the Year' contender.
"Oh, for sure. In my mind it already is. Fight of the Everything.' Fight of my life. Can't wait, man. I'm (expletive) pumped. It's going to be exciting. I don't even know why I need to keep selling this fight," Cerrone said.
"If you're not a (expletive) MMA fan and watching this fight, then (expletive) you. That's all I've got to say."
Amongst all the excitement surrounding his fight against Lawler at UFC 213, Cerrone had a moment to talk about his training partner Jon Jones. The former champ has had a troubled past with drugs and Cerrone said: "If Jon wants to do drugs and still kick ass, you go ahead baby! You do your thing!"
