The makers of "Udta Punjab" are on a spree of releasing the first look posters of the film's characters. After Shahid Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan's first look has been unveiled.
In the poster, Kareena can be seen in a doctor's avatar as she plays the character of Dr. Preet Sahani in the film. In the poster, she has donned a serious look. The character of Kareena in "Udta Punjab" will be seen sacrificing her easy-going life to move to Punjab to tackle the drug menace.
In Abhishek Chaubey's "Udta Punjab," Shahid will paly a rockstar, Tommy Singh, who gets involved in a drug-related controversy. Alia's character is of a daily wage labourer from Bihar who comes to Punjab in search for work, but ends up becoming a victim of drug trafficking. And, Diljit will be seen as a cop in the film.
The trailer of the movie is scheduled to be released April 16 and the film is slated to hit the screens June 17. The motion logo showcased the film's name appear in drug powder, followed by the line, "Drugs Di Maa Di." It has been produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures and Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikas Bahl and Madhu Mantena's Phantom Films.
Kareena is recently flying high on the success of her latest film "Ki and Ka." She currently hosted a party to celebrate the success and it was attended by Kangana Ranaut, Shah Rukh Khan and Sonam Kapoor. It has been reported that Shahid was also invited at the party by Kareena's husband Saif Ali Khan, but the "Haider" actor gave it a miss.
After "Jab We Met," ex-couple Kareena and Shahid will be seen in "Udta Punjab," according to earlier reports, the duo has not shared screen space in the film.
