The first look poster of Alia Bhatt, lead character of "Udta Punjab," has been unveiled and it looks promising. After the makers released Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh's first looks, finally the character poster of Alia is out, a day before the flick's trailer release.
The makers have also released a dialogue motion poster of the actress and she will bow your mind with her accent. "Taka hum raah bhul ke aaye hai? Hamara sunba na toh ganya phat jayi!" she said in the video. According to the first look poster, it looks like Alia's character has escaped after being beaten up, as bruises can be seen on her face.
Earlier, it had been reported that Alia's character in the movie will be of a migrant from Bihar who will be raped. She comes to Punjab in search for work, but ends up becoming a victim of drug trafficking. In the poster, her de-glam and gritty look explains a bit of her character in the film.
Alia was last seen in a de-glam avatar in her second Bollywood release, "Highway," which was a hit at the box office. In "Udta Punjab," Alia is set to mesmerise again with her acting skills. The Abhishek Chaubey directorial revolves around the increasing problem of drug abuse in Punjab.

Shahid will be seen as a spoilt rockstar Tommy Singh, who will get involved in a drug-related controversy. Kareena plays the role of doctor Preet Sahani, who will sacrifice her easy-going life to move to Punjab to tackle the drug menace. And, Punjabi star Diljit will be seen as a cop in his Bollywood debut movie.
Scheduled to be released on June 17, fans are eagerly waiting for the trailer release, which will be unveiled on April 16. The motion logo showcased the film's name appear in drug powder, followed by the line, "Drugs Di Maa Di."
