Colors' "Udaan" will soon take a 10-year leap and after that Chakor will be seen as a mature 18-year-old athlete.
While Meera Deosthale has already been roped in to play grown-up Chakor and Paras Arora as her love interest, it has been reported that Varun Sharma of "Bhagyalakshmi" fame has been roped in to play a pivotal role on the show.
"Varun will play the character of Aditya Rawat who would be a reporter. He would become an active support to Chakor and stand by her rights in the coming days," a source told Telly Chakkar.
Varun took to his Instagram account to share the news with his fans. "Reporter Aditya Rawat reporting from the set of udaan...watch me on #udaan...only on colors," the actor posted.
The report further stated that Varun was earlier approached to play the lead character, which later went on to Paras.
Recently, Vidhi Pandya of "Balika Vadhu" fame made headlines when reports of her being roped in to play the role of grown-up Chakor in "Udaan" surfaced. However, later the makers replaced Vidhi with Meera as they felt Vidhi didn't quite fit the character of Chakor. Vidhi will now play the role of Imli on the same show.
Post leap, "Udaan" will focus on Chakor and her struggle as an adult in bringing freedom to the members of her community.
