Assassin's Creed Origins has finally got a release date, thanks to the latest leak via Game Informer magazine. The publication has reportedly managed to secure some interesting tidbits about the game and posted the same on Reddit.
Previous leaks via Reddit suggest that the next title from Assassin's Creed franchise will be set in ancient Egypt. The game is likely to release in October 2017. The game's protagonist Bayek will be seen raiding Egyptian tombs and performing underwater swimming, among other skill-building activities, in his quest to accomplish the key mission objectives in the game.
According to Game Informer, it is now evident that the game has been optimised to run at 4K resolutions without compromising frame rate performance on Microsoft's new gaming console, the Xbox Scorpio. Here is an excerpt from the report:
"Ubisoft said it got the game running within weeks of receiving their development kits, which speaks to the ease at which developers may be able to get their games ported to Scorpio. It is important to note that both versions of the game are still being optimised, so what we experienced might not be the final product. Still, it was great to see a game running on the new hardware, even if it's ultimately too soon to make anything close to a final verdict."
Coming to the pricing and availability details, Assassin's Creed Origins standard edition will be retailing at Rs. 4,000 in India for Xbox One and PS4 consoles. Check out the complete list of all available gamepacks aka editions for the game title (below):
