The U.S. military successfully test-launched an Intercontinental-Ballistic Missile from California, just days after North Koreas second test of their own ICBM. The Air Force claimed that the action is not a response to North Koreas recent test launch, but to demonstrate U.S. nuclear enterprise is safe, secure and effective, and ready to deter, detect and defend attacks against the U.S. and its allies.
