The images of Cristiano Ronaldo in tears after the Euro 2004 final were doing the rounds before the start of the Euro 2016 final between Portugal and France. Ronaldo could not lift the trophy 12 years ago as a teenager, but, at the second time of asking, the Portuguese superstar was given the opportunity to do so.
