After Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt issued a controversial statement about social media on Saturday, Twitter users have started grilling the veteran director with jokes similar to the cryptic ones on Alok Nath, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arvind Kejriwal and Nirupa Roy which became trending topics in recent days.
"Social Media encourages cowards and haters to spout the most ugly things that they would never dare to say in real life to people face to face," Bhatt tweeted on Saturday.
"There is no denying that the social media scene is spinning out of control and the law is incapable with this very modern form of incitement," he added.
For some bizarre reason, Twitter users seem to have targetted Bhatt's habit of 'scratching' as most of the jokes about the filmmaker circulates around it.
