Update: 10:36 a.m Twitter's notifications are back up and running.
Update: 9:30 a.m. Twitter is back up for some users, but many are still unable to access their notifications.
Original Story:
Microblogging website Twitter is down in several countries, including the U.S. and India. Both the website and first-party app (for iOS and Android) are facing the issue.
Downdetector, a social media monitoring website, noted that Twitter had been facing issues since 10:48 p.m. EDT April 13. Currently, Twitter is not able to pull up tweets, feeds and is displaying "something is technically wrong" on its page. This is an extremely rare occurence
Twitter assured its users that it is "going to fix it up" and things will be normal "soon."
Gizmodo reported that third-party services like TweetDeck were still running and it suggested that the problem could be from the change in Twitter's own configuration and not the developer API.
This is a developing story.
