TVS India launched a new Victor commuter motorcycle priced at Rs 49,490, ex-showroom Delhi. The old Victor, the first motorcycle built by TVS on its own and first launched in India in 2001, received good response from the market and was considered a successful model.
In the latest avatar, the Victor comes with a 109.7cc Ecothrust engine producing 9.6bhp at 8000rpm and 9.4 Nm of torque at 6000rpm mated to four-speed transmission. TVS claims to provide fuel efficiency of 76kmpl from the new version motorcycle.
In terms of design, the new Victor features an evolved styling of the Phoenix 125cc motorcycle of the manufacturer. The fuel tank comes with eight litres of capacity. The motorcycle is built on single cradle tubular frame and features 1260mm wheelbase along with 175mm ground clearance. New TVS Victor is 1980mm long, 1090mm tall, and 750mm wide. The Victor employs telescopic front suspension and five-step adjustable hydraulic series spring suspension at rear.
TVS Victor will be available in both disc and drum brake models and six colours -- Zestful Red, Generous Grey, Blissful Blue, Balanced Black Red, Serene Silver and Beatific Black Silver. The disc brake model has been priced at Rs 51,490, ex-showroom Delhi.
TVS Motor currently holds a market share of around 17% in the commuter motorcycle segment. The re-launch of Victor will further enhance its share in the commuter segment, which is usually the volume selling segment in two-wheeler market.
