It looks like TVS motor company is planning to update its Jupiter scooter line-up in India soon. A new set of spy images of TVS Jupiter has emerged online, indicating that tests are underway for the Jupiter 110cc scooter with front disc brake and other add-ons.
Snapped by Team BHP, the latest spy images of the Jupiter show two test mules -- one with fuel injection and the other with front disc brake. The test mules were seen without any hint of camouflage, suggesting that styling changes are unlikely.
Mechanically, the current TVS Jupiter is powered by 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine, which can churn out 8.2 PS of power and 8 Nm of torque with a CVT gearbox. The mileage of TVS Jupiter is clocked at 62 kmpl. The new variants are likely to get the same engine, with probably a few tweaks to hold the fuel-injector.
Other details of the new variants of TVS Jupiter are not known at this point of time. However, the original publisher of the spy images indicates that the company is likely to announce the launch soon.
Earlier TVS has introduced ZX, the top-end variant of Jupiter, with cosmetic changes such as the new body paint with graphics, Dura Cool seats and beige floorboard.
