It looks like TVS Motors has started testing its Draken X21 in India. A new prototype of what is believed to be TVS Draken X21 has been caught on camera while undergoing its testing in India, giving us an early glimpse of the production-ready model.
TVS Draken X21 model, a concept that was jointly developed with BMW, was first seen at Delhi Auto Expo 2014. If emerging reports are to be believed now the company has started testing it here in India.
Snapped by the folks at PowerDrift, the test mule was seen carefully covered, thus not giving away the key details of the model. However, the seating position and the placement of tail-light on the test mule tell us that it could be Draken X21.
The engine line-up of Draken X21 concept, which was showcased at Auto Expo, included 249.2 cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine which can pump out 38.5bhp @12,000rpm and 23Nm of torque @9500rpm. The transmission came from a six-speed gearbox. The feature list of Draken X21 includes trellis frame, short tail, LED headlamp with daytime running lights, ABS and digital speedometer.
While it remains unclear whether the test mule spotted is a TVS Draken X21 or the new Apache of TVS, which is inspired by Draken X21, the sighting of the test mule, for sure will be a great music to the ears of biking enthusiasts.
