TVS has released a video, detailing its new offering Apache RTR 2004V. TVS launched its newest addition in the Apache series in India on 20 January.
TVS priced its new flagship model Apache RTR 200 4V at Rs 88,990. The motorcycle has been launched in two variants now -- the base carbureted version with TVS Remora tyres and the fuel-injected version with Pirelli tyres. There will also be an ABS version in the line-up later this year. While the fuel-injected version costs Rs 1.07 lakh, the ABS version will get a price tag of Rs 1.15 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
At the heart, Apache RTR 200 4V gets 197.75cc oil-cooled engine. The carbureted version makes 20.3bhp, while the fuel-injected versions develop 21bhp at 8500 rpm. In both the variants, torque output remains the same at 18.1 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The engine is mated to five-speed gearbox. While the carbureted version needs a minimum of 3.95 seconds to reach 60kmph before topping out at 128kmph, the FI model requires 3.9 seconds and comes with top speed of 129kmph.
The Apache RTR 200 4V employs telescopic front suspension and mono-suspension at rear and the braking is taken care of by 270mm disc at front and 240mm disc at rear.
In India, TVS, which rolled out new Apache along with the launch of new Victor motorcycle, aims to sell 7,000 units of Apache every month by Diwali this year. The company also eyes a sales figure of 25,000 units of Victor per month.
