TVS Motor Company launched the flagship model of its Apache series, the Apache RTR 200 4V, in India Jan. 20 with a price tag starting at Rs 88,990 (ex-showroom Delhi). Now, the latest news is that the company has started dispatching the model to its respective dealerships across the company, indicating that the deliveries will begin soon.
A report of Rushlane states that the dealers of TVS in southern states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have started receiving the first lot of the Apache RTR 200 4V. The Apache RTR 200 4V was launched in both carbureted and fuel-injected variants. It is also reported that the first batch of the Apache RTR 200 4V includes the carbureted variants. Apparently, the company is dispatching only some units of the model to the dealers.
Based on the double cradle split Syncro stiff frame, the Apache RTR 200 4V is powered by 197.75cc oil-cooled engine available in both carbureted and fuel injected variants. The carbureted version makes 20.3bhp, while the fuel injected versions churn out 21bhp at 8500 rpm. In both variants, torque output remains the same at 18.1Nm at 7,000 rpm. The engine is mated to five-speed gearbox. While the carbureted version needs a minimum of 3.95 seconds to reach 60kmph before topping out at 128kmph, the FI model requires 3.9 seconds and comes with top speed of 129kmph.
It employs telescopic front suspension and mono-suspension at rear. The braking is taken care of by 270mm disc at front and 240mm disc at rear and the motorcycle runs on 90/90 section front and 130/70 section rear tyres in 17 inch wheels.
A report of Zigwheels has said that some of the dealers of the company have started accepting bookings for the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. However, there is no official word on the same yet.
