TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has been launched at Rs 88,990 (ex showroom Delhi).
TVS is all set to pull the wraps off its new Apache in India on Wednesday, 20 January. The company will also re-launch its Victor commuter motorcycle in the domestic market on Wednesday.
A lot has been written about TVS new Apache RTR 200 4V and the motorcycle has already made numerous appearances on the web through spy shots and leaked images with the latest one being the fully revealed avatar of the model.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, which seems to have benefited from the design cues of X-21 Draken concept, will draw power from 197.75cc air-cooled engine with an oil-cooler (developed with inputs from BMW Motorrad) that can churn out 20.23bhp of power and 18.1Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed gearbox. The motorcycle can reach 60kmph from standstill in just 3.9 seconds.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, which features an athletic body style with chiselled edges, is expected to come with split seats, clip-on handle bar, W-shaped grab rail, LED tail lights, engine cowl and alloy wheels.
While the braking will be taken care of by 270mm disc at front and 200mm disc at rear, Apache RTR 200 4V will employ telescopic front suspension and mono-suspension with gas-filled shocks at rear. The tyres are TVS SriChakra of sizes 90/90 R17 at the front and 130/70 R17 at the rear and ABS is also expected.
Expected to be offered in six colours -- black, grey, red, matte black, white and yellow -- the new Apache is expected to be pegged at a price point of Rs 95,000 and will rival models like KTM 200 Duke in the Indian market.
