If you still have not got enough of the Akula 310 yet, here come the best yet spy shots of the model. Akula 310, the bike rumoured to be Apache RR 310S in its production version has been spied upon once again ahead of its launch in the country. Though donned in camouflage, the latest images proved the best look so far for those still waiting for its arrival.
Taken by the shutterbugs at Thrustzone and Maxabout, the images portend the upcoming track-bred bike from two- wheeler manufacturer TVS in association with its German counterpart BMW Motorrad has come a long way. Since its maiden call at the Auto Expo 2016, the model still carries the body frame of the Akula 310 although there are a lot of surprises in store for the biking enthusiasts in the country when it finally arrives.
Judging by the latest images, the Akula 310 wears twin headlamp unit with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and large windscreen. The production-spec of the Akula will be the fastest and most powerful motorcycle of TVS and the images are also of the proof that it is the best looking Apache yet.
As known for some time, the Akula 310 will share some of its features with the BMW G 310 R. On the engine front, the Akula 310 and the BMW G 310 R will share the same 310cc engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The Akula will feature front upside down suspension and rear monoshock.
So far TVS has not talked about the launch date of its new Akula 310. However, rumour has it that the launch is in the third quarter of this year with the latest reports suggesting a launch by mid-July. In terms of pricing, expect it to fall in the price bracket of Rs. 2 lakh.
