A few weeks back a number of shows went for its midseason break after leaving fans with major cliffhangers and shocking deaths. And now that the New Year is upon us, several shows are returning, and they will pick up immediately after the events of the midseason finale.
For instance, "The Vampire Diaries" will pick up immediately after the events of the season 6 midseason finale that saw Kai casting a cloaking spell on Elena.
"The Walking Dead" saw the death of fan-favourite character Beth Greene, and the Liars on "Pretty Little Liars" will still be reeling from Mona's death. "Supernatural" will see Sam and Dean facing an old foe - Metatron, and if spoilers are to believed "Grey's Anatomy" will focus on the budding romance between Owen and Amelia.
As for dating reality show "The Bachelor," fans will be able to follow Chris Soules as he sets out on a journey to find love.

1 March – Once Upon a Time
3 March - Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
26 March – Bones
"Game of Thrones," which will be back for season 5, has not been given a premiere date yet. But because a majority of the previous seasons have premiered in April, this time too the show is expected to be back either on 29 March or 5 April.
Season 3 of "Hannibal" has also not been given a premiere date yet.
