Hat-trick hero Shivaraj Kumar's film "Bhajarangi" is one of the most hyped Kannada movies of the year and has been creating a positive buzz.. It is now being said that the film's satellite rights have been sold for a record price of ₹3.25 crore. Experts from the Sandalwood opine that this is the highest amount for any Shivanna's film till date, which is a proof of the actor's demand in the market.
It was earlier rumoured in Gandhinagar circles that there were no buyers for this Harsha-directed flick, but this sudden news about its sale has surprised many in the industry. Jack Manju, producer of the movie said that this development is an answer to Shivaraj Kumar's detractors.
"We signed the agreement a couple of days ago and I am happy that 'Bhajarangi' has been sold at a good rate. This is an answer to those who thought that Shivarajkumar movies have no market. In fact, there were offers from a couple of other channels for a higher rate, but since we had already committed to one, we went ahead with it," The Times of India quoted Manju.
Producer KP Srikanth is also all thrilled with the sale of TV rights of "Bhajarangi." "A section of people were trying to spoil Shivarajkumar's reputation. Now with Bhajarangi being sold at such a high price, it only shows that Shivarajkumar's market value is still going strong," Srikanth told the daily.
"Bhajarangi" is the next outing of Shivaraj Kumar after "Andar Bahar" and the film features Andy aka Aindrita Ray alongside him. Sadhu Kokila and Bullet Prakash are playing important roles in it, while Vijay Raghavendra, Sri Murali, Auditya, Srinagar Kitty, Yogesh, Neenasam Sathish, Arjun Janya make special appearances in a song.
Arjun Janya has composed music for the film. Released in the market a few days ago, the audio album is getting very good response from the music lovers. In addition, its theatrical trailer has also impressed the viewers. The reports suggest if everything goes as per plan, Bhajarangi will release on 12 December, 2013.
