Television actor Karan Tacker, who was last seen as a lead on "Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai"(2013) and in a cameo role in "Sarojini" (2015), is likely to make his Bollywood debut soon.
Tacker has given an audition for the sequel of Karan Johar's "Student Of The Year 2" ("SOTY 2"), according to a DNA report. Tacker shares a great rapport with Johar ever since he impressed the filmmaker with his dancing skills in "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7."
Johar had recently announced that "Student Of The Year 2" will star Tiger Shroff, and will be helmed by Punit Malhotra. While it is not known if Tacker had auditioned for a parallel lead or a supporting role, if all goes well, the small screen actor will be seen in the Dharma Production's ambitious project.
The TV star had been keen on making it big in Bollywood and has been going through scripts for a long time. He had also rejected several TV offers in the hope of fulfilling his Bollywood dream.
Meanwhile, rumours have it that Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara will make her debut with "Student Of The Year 2."
"Student Of The Year" (2012), which launched the Bollywood careers of Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, turned out to be a superhit. However, ever since "A Flying Jatt" actor was announced as the lead of "SOTY 2," fans had been expressing their disappointment on Twitter over the absence of a newcomer as the lead actor in the sequel.
