After the grand success of "True Detective" season 1, fans are eagerly waiting for its next sequel, which is speculated to focus on satanic sex.
Season 2 of HBO's crime drama is set in California and will revolve around the lives of three police officers ― portrayed by Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch and Rachel McAdams ― and a criminal, Frank Semyon (Vince Vaughn).
Although creator Nic Pizzolatto has not yet revealed much details of the upcoming season, he teased that the plot line will revolve around "the secret occult history of the United States transportation system," reported Movie Plot.
The website also claimed that the story of HBO's crime drama will begin with the murder case of a corrupt politician, whose body was found near the Pacific Coast Highway and it had satanic symbols curved on it.
California Highway Patrol officers, portrayed by Farrell and Kitsch, will take over the case and during their investigation, they will realise that the victim was a business partner of Semyon.
As per their findings, the politician played the role of a broker for a big deal, which could probably solve the issues related to the state's public transport.
Meanwhile, an article by The Hollywood Reporter stated that "True Detective" seaon 2 hired some porn stars, including Amia Miley and Peta Jensen, for the show.
So the satanic symbol on the dead man's chest and hiring of porn stars for the show indicate that the crime drama will focus on satanic sex.
The cast members of the upcoming season will also include Kelly Reilly, Afemo Omilami, Michael Irby, Leven Rambin, Abigail Spencer, Lolita Davidovich, James Frain, Riley Smith, Adria Arjona, Michael Hyatt, Yara Martinez, Christian Campbell, Jon Lindstrom, Emily Rios, Ronnie Gene Blevins, Timothy V Murphy, CS Lee, Chris Kerson, Rick Springfield and Ashley Hinshaw.
