There seems to be not much change in the Television Rating Points (TRPs) chart in week 47 of 2016. Naagin 2 continues to retain the top spot with 9.1 million views in urban areas, according to Broadcast Audience Research Council India (BARC).
The second in the list of top scorers is Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, which managed to get 7.2 million views. The Kapil Sharma Show grabbed the third slot with 7 million views, while Kumkum Bhagya secured the fourth position with 6.8 million views. Pragya returning to the Mehra family and her bond with Abhi getting stronger seem to be engaging the audience.
Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, with its interesting twists and turns, secured the fifth position (6.4 million views).
Surprisingly, Udaan, which was the third most watched show a few week ago, couldn't make it to the top five shows in week 47 as well. Another supernatural show, Brahmarakshas-Jaag Utha Shaitan, which was one of the top shows during its initial episodes, has also not been able to make it to the five most watched shows in the past few weeks.
As for the ranking of television channels in urban areas, Colors TV continues to be at the top, pushing Star Plus to the second spot. Ongoing reality show Bigg Boss 10, Naagin 2 and the new show, Shani, seem to be the reason for Colors TV channel's success. It was followed by Sony Entertainment Television, Zee TV and Sony SAB. The other top channels are Life OK, &TV, Sony Pal, Zee Anmol and Star Utsav.
