Naagin 2, which lost its top position in last week's Television Rating Points (TRPs), is back at the number one position. In week 44 of 2016, Mouni Roy and Karanvir Bohra's show registered 8.6 million views in urban areas, according to data released by the television audience measurement agency, the Broadcast Audience Research Council India (BARC).
Way behind Naagin is Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, which slipped from last week's top position to the second slot this week, with 7.6 million views. Udaan grabbed the third slot with 6.258 million views while Kumkum Bhagya missed the third spot by a marginal figure. Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha's show secured the fourth position with 6.255 million views.
The fifth in the list of top scorers is The Kapil Sharma Show, which managed 6 million views.
Surprisingly, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, which was the third most watched show until a few week ago, couldn't make it to the top five shows in Week 44 as well. Another supernatural show, Brahmarakshas-Jaag Utha Shaitan, which was one of the top shows during its initial episodes, has also not been able to make it to the five most watched shows in the past few weeks.
As for the ranking of television channels in urban areas, Colors TV continues to be at the top, pushing Star Plus to the second spot. Ongoing reality show Bigg Boss 10, Naagin 2 and the new show, Shani, seem to be the reason for Colors TV channel's success. It was followed by Sony Entertainment Television, Zee TV and Sony SAB. The other top channels are Life OK, &TV, Sony Pal, Zee Anmol and Rishtey.
