Zee TV's "Kumkum Bhagya" made it to the top position in the 42nd week TRP ratings report, beating previous week's winner "Diya Aur Baati Hum".

According to a report in Telly Chakkar, "Kumkum Bhagya" with its interesting twists and turns managed to score a whopping 3.6 TRP rating, followed by Star Plus' "Saath Nibhaana Saathiya" (3.5 TRPs), while "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" scored 3.2 TRP ratings. Star Plus' "Diya Aur Baati Hum" slipped to fourth position with a score of 3 TRPs, which is the same as the rating of Colors' "Sasural Simar Ka".

As for the channels, Star Plus remained the leading channel with a gross viewership of 735 million in week 42.

Surprisingly, Zee Anmol Channel jumped to the second position with a viewership of 652 million pushing Colors to the third spot with a viewership of 651 million. Zee TV (595 million), Life OK (496 million) and Star Utsav (474 million) took the fourth, fifth and sixth position respectively.

Interestingly, Colors slipped down from last week's second slot to this week's third position despite the channel airing the highly popular reality show "Bigg Boss 9". "Bigg Boss 9" scored 1.1 TRP ratings which is same as that of Zee TV's "I Can Do That" and Star Plus' "Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi".

However, "Bigg Boss 9" weekend with Salman Khan witnessed a slight growth with 1.7 ratings.
