British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles tweeted that it will showcase Bonneville Street Twin with scrambler body kit at Motoday 2016 in Lavasa near Pune on June 18 and 19. The one off custom motorcycle comes with raised exhaust and becomes narrow at the rear, more in line with scrambler motorcycles.
The 2016 Street Twin is the first model launched in India from the new Bonneville range for India this year. The company launched the Street Twin at Auto Expo priced at Rs 6.90 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. By April end, Triumph Motorcycles India sold over 100 units of the Street Twin, which is powered by an all-new 900cc engine, which can churn out 54bhp of power and 80Nm of torque at 3200rpm, paired to a six-speed gearbox.
Triumph Motorcycle India also tweeted that it will showcase the newly launched Thruxton R cafe racer at the show. The third model of the new Bonneville range after the Street Twin and Bonneville T120, the Thruxton R was launched at Rs 10.9 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi in the beginning of this month.
Lavasa will host the third edition of the MotoDay motorcycle event. This year's biking carnival is expected to draw close to 2,000 two-wheeler enthusiasts. The event will include display of bikes, contests and stage shows.
