10:40: The transfer deadline day saw a lot of activities but the bigger clubs were not busy when it comes to signing their summer transfer targets.

Manchester United have bagged an expensive talented youngster from Monaco. The transfer fee remained undisclosed. Chelsea also secured the services of a defender.

Arsenal have had the most disappointing summer transfer window in recent years. They could only sign one player in the form of Petr Cech. They failed to rope in any outfield players in this season. The other clubs have also done a fair amount of business. Now it will be interesting to see how these new players will fair in the rest of the season of the English Premier League.

10:15: What we have learnt from the David De Gea fiasco is that he will sign Real Madrid for free next summer. Till then he will have to get his focus back and play under Louis Van Gaal. The question remains whether he will be able to get back to his own colours soon?

8:42: It is official! Joleon Lescott sign for Aston Villa. 12th signing for Villa this summer. Tim Sherwood has been on a roll.

8:35: Two more hours for the summer transfer window to close its doors. Yet no big names have popped up! This has rather been a quite transfer deadline day for almost all the big guns of the Premier League.

8:07: It is almost certain that PSG is unlikely to sell Edinson Cavani as the French transfer window is shut now! They will have nobody to replace. Arsenal fans should be thoroughly disappointed.

7:58: Reports suggests that Anthony Martial have passed his medical at Carrington and will be revealed as a Manchester United player in some time.

7:05: Bleacher Report believes that Manchester United can make a strong XI out of their sold or loaned players this summer!

6:59: According to Daily Star,  Chelsea have now sold, released or loaned out 33 players during this window and this includes Victor Moses's move to West Ham.

6:56: Real Madrid had earlier accused Manchester United for their failure to sign David De Gea!

6:55: Meanwhile, Javier Hernandez told the reporters: 'I left Manchester United to feel important and happy.' 

6:43: Earlier in the day Anthony Martial's former club Lyon had wished him good luck for his future in Manchester United.

6:38: West Ham United have signed Victor Moses on Loan from Chelsea!

6:31: Daily Mail is reporting that Arsenal is reluctant to pay over £50 million for Edinson Cavani and thus the trasnfer is still on hold. 

6:30: Manchester United target Charlie Austin is going to stay at Queens Park Rangers: reported The Independent.

6:24: Brazililan striker Alexandre Pato has been offered to five different English Premier League Clubs but there is no one take him so far!

6:22: AFC Bournemouth have completed the signing of Glenn Murray from Crystal Palace.

6:17: It is official now that David De Gea is not going anywhere this summer! 

The La Liga giants have confirmed that both they and United had reached an agreement over a fee which included Real's Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas heading to Old Trafford as part of a swap deal.

Real Madrid have now released an official statement regarding the David De Gea transfer failure. The fiasco continues! Here are some excerpts from that statement:

"Manchester United didn't open any path of negotiation for the registration rights to David De Gea until yesterday morning. Real Madrid, despite the difficulties associated with completing a deal of this type on the final day of registration, accepted the initiating of these conversations.

"When Manchester United entered into these negotiations yesterday morning they did so subject to being able to reach an agreement with Real Madrid player Keylor Navas, in order that he would join the British club from this season, and informed that they were in contact with the representatives of said player."

6:10: Everton have rejected a bid from Norwich for Steven Naismith. Everton are still having a discussion with Tottenham for a deal for Aaron Lennon.

6:05: David De Gea is almost certain to stay at Manchester United. The official Twitter account of the UEFA Champions League had tweeted about its certainity. Later, they had removed the Tweet.

The Transfer Deadline Day is finally here and all the English Clubs are busty finalising their last bids for their targets. The summer transfer window will finally close at 6pm BST (10:30 pm IST) on Tuesday and before that the clubs will be desperate to land their favourite targets. 

Few deals have already been finalised by several clubs since Monday. Manchester United seemed to have done most of the business yesterday as they have offloaded several players in the form of Adnan Januzaj (loan to Borussia Dortmund), Javier Hernandez (sold to Bayer Leverkusen), Tyler Blackett (loan to Celtic), Anders Lindegaard (free transfer to West Bromwich Albion). 

David De Gea deal also came close to completion but the United claimed to have submitted their request five minutes prior to Spanish Transfer Deadline time but the deal could not be finalised and the fiasco over the talented goalkeeper continued.
