The trailer of the much-awaited Tamil movie "Vai Raja Vai" starring Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand in the lead has just been released. The film, which is directed by Aiswarya R Dhanush, is touted to be a Tamil romantic thriller.
The trailer takes you through some of the sequences where the lead character 'Karthik' played by Gautham changes from that of a good boy image to an influential gambler. The trailer narrates the problems encountered by a man who enters the world of gambling by chance and gets trapped there.
The perfectly-mixed trailer assures that the film has all the elements of a thriller - comedy, fight, suspense, music and some high-energy dance moves. Visuals of the film also look highly captivating and are well-supported by some scintillating music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The surprise element in the trailer is definitely the mass entry of Dhanush in his typical style and catchy dialogues. His charcter 'Kokki Kumar' in the film is expected to be the icing on the cake.
The trailer shows Daniel Balaji playing a negative character in the film; he keeps everything and everyone around him in his tunes. Balaji had previously appeared in negative roles in "Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu", "Kaakha Kaakha" and "Polladhavan".
The film also has star cast of Taapsee Pannu, Vivek, Vasanth Gayathri Raghuram, Sathish, Sriranjini, Bose Venkat, MS Bhaskar, Manobala, Mayilswamy and Swaminthan.
The script of this upcoming movie is jointly by Madhan Karky and Aishwrya R Dhanush.
The cinematography of the film is done by Velraj, who is noted for his work in films like "Polladhavan" (2007), "Aadukalam" (2011), "Engeyum Eppodhum" (2011), "3" (2012), "Ethir Neechal" (2013) and "Velaiyilla Pattathari" (2014). Editing is being taken care of by VT Vijayan.
