The trailer of "John Paul Vaaathil Thurakkunnu," directed by Chandrahasan is released. The film is the adaptation of a novel written by Punathil Kunjabdulla with the same title. Deepak Parambol, who is known for his appearances as a youth leader in "Thattathin Marayathu" and villain in "Thira" plays the lead character of John in the film.
The film is touted as an emotional intelligent thriller with a different narrative style and is said to have high action sequences, which are apparently one of the toughest ever filmed in Malayalam. The action sequences are choreographed by famous Tamil fight master Anbu Arivu.
"I had to run uphill, jump over walls and keep running. It was crazy. Once we leave our college days behind us, most of us don't run like that. I thought I was fit! Thus, when I was told to repeat it for another take, I had doubts if I could find the energy to do it all over again. I managed to do it but I had cuts and bruises all over. I am sure the scenes are going to look mind-blowing in this thriller of a film," said Deepak to The Hindu
The film revolves around the life of two men and how their life changes when John, who comes to attend an interview, opens a door, which he was not supposed to open. What follows is the story of betrayal, revenge and suspense.
The film also has Sruthi Menon, Madhu, Nirmal Benny, P. Balachandran, Darsana Rajendran and Sudip Joshi in pivotal roles.
The story and screenplay of "John Paul Vaathil Thurakkunnu" are also done by Chandrahasan. The music of the film is composed by Aniyan. M. Simon and the lyrics are penned by K. Jayakumar. While the cinematography is handled by Rakesh Ramakrishnan, editing is done by Prejish Prakash.
"John Paul Vaathil Thurakkunnu" is produced by Arjun Mohan under the banner of Ministry of Movies.
