The trailer of the upcoming Malayalam movie, "Iyobinte Pusthakam", directed by Amal Neeradh has been released. The trailer introduces the characters and the time period, in which the film is set. The film is set to release in October.
The trailer is supported by background scores and dialogues from the film. It begins with a monologue in Lal's voice, which tells the situation of the land they live in.
The dialogue conveys that the film is set in a period of unrest where no one is sure about the future of the country and speculation on the exit of the colonisers from Travancore, erstwhile princely state in the British Raj.
The trailer then goes to introduce the character Aloshy played by Fahadh Faasil who is son of Iyob played by Lal. Aloshy is shown as a young man with his own dreams who wants to leave the land of hills.
It then goes through the emotional turmoil of Iyob who doubts his son to be a communist.
It also introduces the look and the characters of other artists in the film. "Iyobinte Pusthakam" has Jayasurya playing the role of Angoor Ravuthar, Lena as Kazhali, Jinu Joseph as Ivan, Padmapriya as Rahel, Reenu Mathews as Annamma, Chemban Vinod as Dimithri, Vinayakan as Chemban and Isha Sherwani as Martha.
The trailer also adds Sreejith Ravi, TG Ravi and Aashiq Abu in the list of actors in the film.
"I think you can expect a very good film. Like my other films this is one is also very author backed. It took one and half year for the scripting of the film alone. So I hope even people would enjoy and love this film. Lot of hard work is put in to it and lot of effort is taken and believe audience will see that in the film," said Fahadh Faasil in an audio that was released by the "Iyobinte Pusthakam" team.
The cinematography of the film is also done by Amal Neerad and the story and the script are penned by Gopan Chithambaram and Shyam Pushkaran. The music of the film is composed by Neha Nair and Yakzan Gary Pereira.
"Iyobinte Pusthakam" is jointly produced by Fahadh Faasil and Amal Neerad and is distributed by A&A Release.
