Surat, June 05 (ANI): Traders in Gujarat pinned hopes on business-friendly Prime Minister Narendra Modi for revival of diamond industry. Diamond traders said that they were hopeful that their concerns of turnover taxes and relief packages for diamond workers will be addressed by the Modi-led government. Shortage of labour is affecting cutting and polishing jobs in Surat's diamond industry and the skyrocketing prices of raw diamonds is a key factor leading to thousands of workers moving away from the diamond industry to other businesses.
