Toyota Kirloskar Motors has unveiled an all new improved Etios sedan and Liva hatchback in India on Sunday night.
Both vehicles were launched amid a jam-packed crowd at the final match of the Toyota University Cricket Championship (TUCC). Etios and Liva were originally launched in December 2010 and June 2011, respectively. The news versions packnumber of changes in its exterior and interiors.
"As a part of our product lifecycle and with the aim to bring newness to the lineup we are launching the New Etios and Etios Liva. We have incorporated customer feedback and are looking forward to delighting more customers with the new vehicles. The whole lineup is aimed at giving the customers the latest in features and looks, adding to its style quotient. The new lineup is a lot more youthful and trendy. We thank all our customers who have liked and appreciated the product," said Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Marketing and Commercial at the launch.
The original versions of the cars have sold more than 1, 45,000 units since its launch and the company hopes to make the same with the improved versions. Toyota Etios sedan petrol variants are priced between ₹5.45 lakhs and ₹7.08 lakhs, and the diesel of Etios are available between ₹6.70 lakhs to ₹8.15 lakhs. On the other hand, the Liva hatchback petrol models are priced from ₹4.46 lakhs to ₹5.99 lakhs, and the diesel models fall between the ₹5.72 lakhs and ₹6.38 lakh bracket.
"The Etios has made inroads not just in India but also in South Africa and Brazil. The vehicles are available in the Toyota showrooms starting today. We welcome all to experience and enjoy the new vehicles," said Singh.
