Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), the Indian arm of Toyota Motor Corporation, sold 13,601 units in October 2015 as against 12,556 units in October 2014. TKM sold 12, 403 units in the domestic market and exported 1,198 units in October 2015. The numbers are higher compared to September sales that stood at 12,653 units.
The Etios range that includes Liva hatchback, Etios sedan and the Etios Cross registered a cumulative growth of 12% between January and October 2015 when compared to the same period last year. Toyota recently launched updated the Liva hatchback, which also pushed sales.
The company also registered a cumulative growth of 9%, selling 1,19,095 units in the domestic market between January and October 2015 as compared to 1,08,863 units sold during the same period in 2014.
The New Camry sales between April and October 2015 have already exceeded total Camry sales in 2014, said the company in a release.
"With the festive season on, we have seen a growth of 9% in our sales from January to October 2015 when compared to the same period last year. The Etios series has also seen a cumulative growth. The New Liva- introduced to delight our customers this festive season has received an overwhelming response from the buyers. The sale of new Camry continues to grow and has already exceeded the total sales of Camry in 2014. Camry Hybrid constitutes 90% of the total New Camry sales," said N Raja, Director and Senior Vice - President, Sales and Marketing, TKM.
