Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian subsidiary of Japanese carmaker Toyota, has launched a special edition of the Innova MPV, christened as Innova Touring Sport. The special edition has been launched to celebrate the first anniversary of the new MPV in the market. The cosmetically upgraded Touring Sport models demand nearly Rs 80,000 over the regular variants of the MPV.

So what are the differences between the regular and special editions? We have simplified it for you.
Design
The basic silhouette and the design of the Innova Crysta and the Touring Sport are identical. In place of Innova Crysta's chrome grille, the Touring Sport comes with piano-black unit that makes the latter look sporty. To further enhance the looks of the Touring Sport, Toyota has added smoked inlay in the headlamps, black finish spoilers at the front and rear. The 16-inch alloy wheels in silver colour have been turned to black colour in the Touring Sport. Additionally, Touring Sport comes with special badge, spoiler and the black inserts to lights at the rear.
Interior
The Touring Sport version boasts of faux wood additions at the dashboard. The meters in the instrument cluster gets a red backlight instead of the blue-white combination of the Innova Crysta. The special edition gets seats with red contrast stitching carrying a sporty look inside. The same stitching has been added over the console box, shift lever boot (MT) and parking brake boot as well.
Engine
There is no change under the hood. The Innova Touring Sport is available in two kinds of diesel engines and a petrol engine, identical to the Innova Crysta. While the 2.8 L diesel engine comes with a six-speed automatic transmission, the 2.4 L diesel engine gets five-speed speed manual transmission. The petrol variant of Innova Touring Sport is available with a 2.7 L engine mated to six-speed automatic transmission along with sequential shift and a five-speed manual transmission. The Innova Touring Sport petrol can churn out 164bhp at 5,200 rpm and 250Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. Meanwhile, the 2,393cc diesel engine develops 148bhp of power and 243Nm of torque, while the 2,755cc mill churns out 172bhp and 360Nm of torque.
