Toyota Innova Crysta Touring Sport reaches dealerships ahead of May 4 launch; here is what to expect

The Innova Crysta, the popular MPV of Toyota, will soon get a new sporty variant in India. The new variant will be called Innova Crysta Touring Sport. And now, the Crysta Touring Sport has started arriving at the showrooms of the company ahead of its official launch (May 4) and the images of the vehicle are flooding the web.

Is the new Innova Crysta Touring Sport different from the Innova Crysta? The new sporty variant of MPV is not a major departure the current Innova Crysta. However, expect styling and cosmetic changes to differentiate it from from the current model.

Expected to be offered on the top-end ZX variant, the new Touring Sport is poised to get chrome inserts on the bumpers with new front grille and side skirts along with features such as chrome tipped ORVMs and16-inch alloy wheels.

The new variant will be available in six-seater configuration with all-black interiors. There will also be exclusive mats and upholstery.

Under the hood, the Touring Sport is likely to get only 2.8-litre diesel engine, which can churn out 172bhp and 360Nm of torque, mated to five-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearbox. The regular Innova Crysta is sold with 2.7-litre petrol, 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre diesel engines. The new Touring Sport is expected to be offered in Wine Red and Super White colours. On the pricing front, Innova Crysta Touring Sport is likely to cost Rs 50,000 more than the current model.
