More images of Toyota Innova Crysta have hit the web ahead of its possible launch in the country by May this year. Snapped in Bangalore, the new prototype of the Innova Crysta was seen with temporary registration plate and like before, in its completely-revealed avatar.
Toyota's new avatar of the Innova made its India debut at the Auto Expo 2016 in February. Although the company did not announce the launch details of the model in the country yet, rumour mills are on a roll for last few weeks with several launch dates linked to the Innova Crysta, with the latest one being May 3.
The Innova Crysta, the new avatar of Toyota's highly-acclaimed Innova MPV, is expected to be offered in three variants in India: the new top-of-the-line Q variant and V and G trim. Under the skin of the Innova Crysta is expected to be a GD 2.4-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre petrol engines. While the 2,393cc engine develops 147bhp and 359Nm of torque mated to a manual gearbox, the in-line four-cylinder 2,000cc VVT-i petrol engine churns out 137bhp and 183Nm of torque. The petrol mill will be available with manual and automatic transmissions.
The other features of the innova Crysta will include automatic climate control with rear auto cooler, 7-inch audio with navigation, cruise control and electrically adjustable driver seat. On safety front, the MPV will feature ABS with Electronic brake distribution and brake assist as standard across the trim. The new model of the Innova MPV will get airbag as standard fitment. The Q variant will come with 17-inch alloy wheels, while the V and G trims get 16-inch alloy wheels in a different design.
A recent GaadiWaadi report, said that some of the dealers of Toyota have already started accepting the bookings for the Innova Crysta with Rs. 40,000 and the company is expected to start the delivery of the diesel model May 13 in the country, while that of petrol models will begin only in August.
