Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd unveiled Innova Cysta with sporty body kit. The Thai-spec Innova Crysta is similar to the one launched in India in May barring the sporty exterior kit.
The body kit include reworked front and rear bumper, side skirts, roof rail ornament, Crysta rear emblem and stainless steel exhaust pipe. The model also boast of features such as LED projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, 17-inch wheels, cruise control, 4.2-inch Multi-Information Display, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. On safety front, the model comes with ABS with EBD and BA, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control and Hill-start Assist Control.
There is no word on the arrival of this sporty version in India. Having said that, Toyota Kirloskar Motor(TKM) providing this as accessory kit or limited edition in the future cannot be written off.
TKM launched Innova Crysta in May and the sale of the popular MPV is on top gear. Despite being the MPV segment experiencing slow sales, Innova Crysta raking an average of over 7000 sales per month. It is also one of the most selling UVs in the country.
Innova Crysta's waiting period in India continues to stand at two months. The MPV is available in both petrol and diesel engine options in the country. Under the hood, while the Innova Crysta petrol is powered by an in-line 4-cyl 2.7-litre unit that can churn out 164bhp at 5,200 rpm and 250Nm of torque at 4,000rpm, the diesel variants of the Innova Crysta are sold with 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre diesel engines. The 2,393cc diesel engine develops 148bhp of power and 243Nm of torque, while the 2,755cc mill churns out 172bhp and 360Nm of torque. The transmission is taken care of by a five-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearbox.
