It looks like the launch date of the petrol variant of the Innova Crysta has almost been confirmed as the emerging reports on the web suggest that the model will be launched in the first week of August. The Innova Crysta petrol has been in the news since the launch of the diesel variants of the same in the Indian market.
The petrol engine-powered Innova Crysta MPV will be launched in India on Aug. 8, reports GaadiWaadi. Toyota Innova Crysta, the new version of the popular MPV Innova, is currently being sold in India only with the diesel engine option.
The petrol-powered Innova Crysta is said to have already hit the assembly line and the dealers of Toyota have started accepting bookings for the upcoming variant. In the petrol-variant, the Innova Crysta will come powered by an in-line 4-cyl 2.7-litre unit that can churn out 164bhp at 5,200 rpm and 250Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The transmission in the Innova Crysta petrol is expected to be taken care of by a five-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearbox. The MPV will remain unchanged in terms of features and design. The Innova Crysta petrol is expected to be priced at about Rs. 60,000 lower than the current diesel models. The MPV is currently retailed at a starting price of Rs. 13.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Toyota launched the new Innova Crysta in India in May and the MPV has clocked over 30,000 bookings in the country so far. The Innova Crysta is currently offered with a 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre diesel engines and comes in three trims — G, V and Z.
