Rumour mills have been on overdrive for months now with stories of new Toyota Innova Crysta's launch. Several launch dates have been linked with the Innova Crysta since its appearance at the Auto Expo 2016, and the latest buzz is that the new avatar of the Innova could come to the Indian market next month.
A report of ZigWheels says that the Innova Crysta may hit the roads in April. Toyota has started testing the Innova Crysta on the Indian roads and a set of images of the model in its completely revealed avatar hit the web recently, indicating that the company is planning to launch the model soon.
The Innova Crysta, the new avatar of Toyota's highly-acclaimed Innova MPV will come with GD 2.4-litre diesel and 2.0-litre petrol engines. While the 2,393cc engine develops 147bhp and 359Nm of torque mated to a manual gearbox, the in-line four-cylinder 2,000cc VVT-i petrol engine churns out 137bhp and 183Nm of torque. The petrol mill will be available with manual and automatic transmissions.
Expected to be offered in three variants in India — the new top-of-the-line Q variant and V and G trims — the Innova Crysta features LED projector headlamps and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Innova Crysta will feature automatic climate control with rear auto cooler, 7-inch audio with navigation, cruise control and electrically adjustable driver seat. On safety front, the MPV will feature ABS with Electronic brake distribution and brake assist as standard across the trim. Airbags will also be a standard fit.
