Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), Indian subsidiary of Japanese car maker Toyota, began delivering the new generation Innova MPV, christened as Innova Crysta, on Friday, May 13. TKM revealed the prices of the MPV at the beginning of the month and they will be in the range of Rs. 13,83,677 to Rs. 20,77,930 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Bookings for the SUV opened at the beginning of this month. The Innova Crysta is sold in two grades with an automatic transmission (Zx,Gx) and four grades with manual transmission (Zx, Vx, Gx and G). The Innova Crysta is sold with two diesel engine options. The 2,393cc diesel engine develops 148bhp of power and 243Nm of torque, while the 2,755cc mill churns out 172bhp and 360Nm of torque. The 2.4-litre engine is mated to manual transmission and 2.8-litre diesel engine comes mated to automatic transmission. Former returns claimed fuel efficiency of 15.10kmpl and latter mill returns 14.29 Kmpl according to TKM.
It measures 4,735mm in length, 1,830mm in width, 1,795mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,750mm. Latest version of the MPV packed with safety features such as SRS Airbags, vehicle stability control (VSC), hill assist control (HSC), antilock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and brake assist (BA). The Innova Crysta features cruise control, electrically adjustable, retracting chrome finished ORVM, smart entry system with push start/stop button, automatic climate control and 4.2 inch TFT multi and information display. Built on an all-new platform called Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), Innova Crysta is available in three new colours — garnet red, white pearl crystal shine, avant-garde bronze, along with silver, grey and super white.
