As the new Innova Crysta from the house of Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) gets ready to hit the Indian roads, new details of the model have started emerging online. While most of the details of the Innova Crysta are already known since the model is already in some of the markets like Indonesia, the variant's details of the MPV is still under the wraps.
A report of AutoCar India says that the Innova Crysta will be launched in five trim levels across three main variants in India -- 2.4 GX MT, 2.8 GX AT, 2.4 VX MT, 2.4 ZX MT, 2.8 ZX AT. The new Innova Crysta, which has undergone thorough changes both inside and outside measures 4,735mm in length, 1,830mm in width, 1,795mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,750mm.
From a visual stand point, the Innova Crysta boasts projector head lamp with LED daytime running lights and wide hexagonal grille. Under the hood, the Innova Crysta gets 2,755cc and 2,393cc diesel engines. While the 2,393cc diesel engine will develop 148bhp of power and 243Nm of torque, the 2,755cc mill will churn out 172bhp and 360Nm of torque. The engine is expected to come mated to a six-speed automatic and a five-speed manual gearbox.
As for features, the top-variant of the Innova Crysta is expected to come packed with features like automatic climate control with rear auto cooler, a 7-inch audio with navigation, cruise control and electrically-adjustable driver seat. On the safety front, Toyota is expected to equip the second-generation Innova MPV with airbags, electronic stability control and ABS.
Various reports had suggested that some of the dealers of Toyota have started accepting bookings for the new Innova Crysta with a down-payment of Rs. 50, 000. The Innova Crsyta is scheduled to be launched in India on May 3 and has started reaching the dealerships. Toyota is expected to price it at about Rs. 14 lakh (ex-showroom).
