Toyota will pull the wraps off its much-awaited new Fortuner in India on Monday, November 7. The seven-seater SUV in its latest iteration has already started reaching the dealerships of the company across the county.

From a visual stand point, the new Fortuner gets a revised front bumper with bi-xenon LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights (DRLs) and LED tail-lamps. In terms of dimensions, it measures 4,795mm in length, 1,855mm in width and 1,835mm in height and comes with a wheelbase of 2,750mm.
The new Fortuner is expected to offer goodies such as 7-inch T-Connect infotainment system, reverse camera, electrically adjustable driver's seat and cruise control and the safety of the SUV will be taken care of by ABS (anti-lock Braking system) with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution), brake assist, TRC (traction control), HAC (hill-start assist control) and seven airbags.
At the heart of the new Fortuner will be a 2.8-litre GD diesel and a 2.7-litre petrol engines. While the diesel variant will generate a power of 175bhp and 360Nm of torque, the petrol mill will be tuned to pump in 158bhp of power along with 245Nm of torque. The transmission in both will be handled by a six-speed manual and automatic gearbox. It is also being said that the Fortuner in its latest avatar could also get 2.4-liter GD diesel engine, which can generate 148bhp of power and 344NM of torque. The SUV will offer different drive modes and will come in four-wheel drive (4WD) and two-wheel drive (2WD) options in both manual and automatic gearbox.
Expected to be offered in six variants -- 4x2 Petrol Manual, 4x2 Petrol Auto, 4x2 Diesel Manual, 4x2 Diesel Auto, 4x4 Diesel Manual, 4x4 Diesel Auto -- the Fortuner SUV is already open for bookings in the country. Toyota is expected to price the SUV in the price range of Rs 33 lakh to Rs 40 lakh.
