Toyota Kirloskar Motor is expected to break the cover of its new offerings Etios and Liva Facelift in India on 15 October. And now in the hours leading to the event, an automobile website has revealed the complete variant-wise details of the duo, painting a clear picture of what to expect.
Mechanically, both Toyota Etios sedan and Liva hatchback facelift will continue to get power from the same engines.
While the The Etios sedan will draw from the 1.5-litre petrol engine that can churn out 90 PS of power and 132 Nm of torque and a 1.4-litre diesel motor producing 68 PS power and 170 Nm of torque, the Toyota Liva will be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel motor, mated to 5-speed manual gearbox.
As per the latest leaks by the folks at IndianHoods, the base variants of Toyota Etios and Liva – J / JD will house new features like driver and front passenger airbags, which are standard across all variants and the duo will have new front grille element.
The middle variants of Toyota Etios and Liva get new front grille with chrome finish, new fabric for seats, two rear speakers and a spare remote key.
Coming to the top-of-the-line variants- VX and VXD, both the facelifts will feature electrically adjustable ORVM, reverse / parking sensor and new finish for the armrests. In addition to this, the Etios facelift will get fully chrome front grille and Pearl White exterior.
When launched, Toyota Etios will take on the likes of Nissan Sunny, Chevrolet Sail, while the hatchback will compete with Maruti Swift and Hyundai i20. Expect the former to fall in the price range of ₹5.5- ₹8. lakh and latter to get a price tag between ₹4.5 and ₹7 lakh.
